@samvarma thanks Sam! haha I am fortunate to have had batteries charged this time around.. I've made the mistake of forgetting batteries before lol..
I am a landscape photographer from BC, Canada đ with a passion for capturing some of Western Canada's most remote and untouched wilderness.
Real photos of real places.

@michaelrussell thanks Michael! the rainbow is kind of sneaky eh? The sidelight was to die for
@MattPalmer Thanks Matt, much appreciated. Haha yea.. wouldn't have been able to get it without the holler!
Fleeting conditions in between squalls often give you little time to react. I was lying in my tent patiently waiting for the light to change. Suddenly, I hear my friend yelling "Morgan! You gotta get out here!" - I quickly got on my feet and practically waltzed over to this composition I found earlier and captured this rainbow in front of Mount Macdonald.

Frozen Giant was captured on the top of a Finnish fell in Winter last year.
There's not a lot I love more than trudging around in snow capturing beautiful frozen landscapes... and there aren't many places better for snow and ice than Finnish Lapland!

@tysonwphotog Beautiful stuff Tyson, looking forward to seeing more!
A photograph from one of the most remote places in the UK, the Fisherfield Forest - about a 20km round trip hike from the nearest road. Perhaps rather alarmingly for an area named "forest", the landscape here is mostly treeless with only one tiny fragment of original woodland remaining on a steep sided mountain. A vestige of the past.

Eternal Growth 2022
An ancient Antarctic Beech in #Queensland #Australia. These beech trees are living relics of the ancient Gondwana supercontinent, existing over 180 million years ago. When Gondwana began to break apart, fragments of its unique ecosystems were carried with it, leading to the distribution of species across the southern hemisphere. This tree is likely in the 2000+ year old range, having grown many trunks during its lifetime.
@manup thank you!
@tristan_todd what an incredible cave. the atmosphere at the entrance was incredible. top #5 favorite moments out there
Exploring underneath glaciers is addicting and exciting. Each cave is unique, you'll never know what you might find!

Fog envelopes an alpine basin, transforming it into something surreal. Every time I turned my head, it looked different.
Taken on an incredible afternoon in the alpine of #BC.

@alfredomora Glad to see you here Alfredo! I was wondering where you had gone - understandable.. social media can be such a drain on the soul. Great intro set, I'm absolutely in love with the tree image.. a true masterpiece
Hello Mastodon. Time for an #introduction !
My name is Alfredo and I'm a landscape #photographer from Denver, #Colorado.
I have been disconnected from photography and social media for the past 6 months or so. There was a point where I wanted to sell all of my gear and walk away from it all but slowly I started to regain the feeling of reconnecting with nature. So here I am trying to reconnect with a like minded community. â©â©My website can be found here https://alfredomora.net

The #AuroraAustralis putting on a show over the southern most point of #Australia. I was lucky enough to see the biggest solar storm in over 20 years from here this year during a 3 month trip in #Tasmania. One of the most magical feeling experiences of my life. A night I wont soon forget.
