As Autumn BlackDeer would say, white colonial logic works under the axiom: “the more distant, the more objective”. Hence we automate processes in the industry, in police and justice, in the military… Objectivity, as a moral distant, context detached narrative, has always been our white colonial (scientific) language to legitimate human cruelty towards the recipients of automation (enslaved, incarcerated and stigmatized peoples) and to compartmentalize and minimize our responsibility.

This petition closes in 5 days and still needs another 1500 signatures to force a response. I'm surprised and disappointed this one hasn't gone further; it's well worded and would demand quite a different response to the usual "we left, tough" that most #RejoinEU petitions get.

Our people's bodies bought and sold. Tortured to oblivion with the funds supplied by the European Union to the so-called Libyan Coastguard. I have never seen the type of hate these people have for Black people. What they're doing in Libya to these people escaping war and genocide is unimaginable.

One can't do this for money without the incredible amounts of ingrained hate and dehumanization. And the UNHCR which is supposed to register and protect refugees is part of the problem.

My womb is probably damaged. It really hurts. Please help me. I can't take it. During the time I stayed there they did so many things to my body. My back is filled with scars from getting beat up."

It isn't LIKE slavery. It IS slavery of the worst kind, like the terrible times in the 1800s when enslavers did this to Black people. But it is happening now.

I'm happy to announce that I received an @nlnet grant for the Tin Snipe DAQ!

My goal with Tin Snipe is to build better tools to explore and understand electronics in a quick and intuitive way. You can think of it as a multimeter that focuses on R&D, repair and hacking of modern digital electronics. Featuring the basics you find in hand held multimeters while adding insights into signal integrity and digital busses that you don't typically find in a multimeter.

I've currently been doing a tonne of work on Doorkeeper, a Mastodon dependency for OAuth, and currently that work is mostly uncompensated.

I'm also doing a reasonable amount of work on the standards side (W3C & IETF), which is also uncompensated.

I'm not making ends meet at the moment, so if you can spare €5-10 a month, please do consider supporting my work on Mastodon, Doorkeeper, standards, and the wider Fediverse.

I'm currently running a deficit of about €1000-1600 per month, which is completely unsustainable.
