Combo of density of writing and IRL shit got the #reading #goal progress to stumble a bit last week after a very good prior couple weeks.
A full 90s view with some #Marvel and #ImageComics classic #comicbooks mini-series here. The #Spawn series filled in some gaps from the early Spawn run.
That new Marvel fighting game from ArcSys looks sick
Almost at the 1/2way mark of 2025 + my #reading #goal tracking just ticked over the 3 digit mark for single issues of #comicbooks. While #ImageComics dominates the count, the 90s #Marvel and 80s #Eclipse books really hit the #cyberpunk #cyborg vibe. Making my own comic kept me from reading more.
Big #reading #goal week! 11 #comicbooks down, the MAJORITY from #ImageComics with a splash of #Marvel and a hint of #DCComics. Mini #reviews /insights on images as usual. I've already read over 100 "things" this year but I'll cross over 100 in one category soon. Reading more has been a boon to me.
I realized after 30 minutes that i forgot to snap a starting pic, but here's "the beginning" of my time #makingcomics today. 2nd photo is the end of my session. I can tell I'm nearing the end of #pencilling this page.
Tryna find audience.
My #reading #goal has had some hiccups, but a healthy dose of #ImageComics #comicbooks brings me closer to 100 floppies read. #Kaya is a testament to the skill + love that Wes Craig has for this art form, and deserves your attention. The #Spawn books are always fun and well made, if a bit unserious.

I'm trying to expand my repertoire, diversify my reading tastes, and I'm a sap so the #romance is really working for me. I was worried #AsumiChan would be gratuitous but I found it very charming and wholesome. #manga #comicbooks
I didn't forget my #reading #goal but things have thrown me for a loop so I'm behind on posting. #XMen remains one of a scant few #Marvel books I'm getting, the pencillers are great, plots picking up pace too. But #Image again dominates in quality. Of content and material selection. #comicbooks
2025 #Reading #Goal carries on. I love being surprised by how good a #comicbook or #manga is, particularly one I grabbed on a whim,like Corpse Blade. Bold cover design combined W/ strong interior art on a quick flip led to purchase, but that Reading experience outpaced the cost AND my expectation!

So, my #reading #goals for 2025 took a hit dur8ng my vacation. I only finished one #comicbook + 1 #manga, though I did start a novel and manga I I not come close to finishing them. I kno2 I shouldn't let it demotivate me, but getting back on track has been hard since I returned.
Last week was pretty solid on the #reading #goal but things are gonna take a hit with me going vacation starting to.orrow. I am bringing a #novel and one #manga bit no loppies #comicbooks and I dont expect to be reading much except during transit.
Update on the #Reading #Goal - #Deathslinger actually took me a long time to get through due to those #prose sections. Loved the effort and energy in the art and story though. Also adding my first #TPB to the list. The #ComicBooks here kept me up to date on these titles.

I have ADHD and other issues that's onetime make getting g momentum derailed into a big hurdle to overcome.
A middling effort last week in my #reading #goal for 2025. Bit worried how my upcoming trip might derail me. Anyways, this time it was very #ImageComics centric, feat. #Spawn and #GIJoe. #Skybound is doing great with their licensed stuff. As for Spawn, I love the 90s #comicbooks
@Tweakedenigma I have them in The Beguiling, the ne local shop that has an easy to access consignment sale program.
@Tweakedenigma it took me ages to get to a point where I had these printed. And I've struggled to get myself into conventions. So my sales have been limited. But I'm really proud.
@Tweakedenigma I prefer fiction, but it's not about the mental lift so much as about striving to be better at making art.
The current non-fiction book is about Puns,and it's very well written and goes into the history and sociology amd (kinda) biology about it all. What role it plays to pun in development and culture etc.
Speaking of shelves, did ypu ever see that I printed physical copies of my comics?
