One sign of spring are the toad migrations to the ponds. I have seen the toad fences along the road near a pond in my neighbourhood for the last few years and this year I finally spotted the little animals.

By the sea

Water flames
Sunset experiments by the sea. The reflections of the sun on the water take on completely new shapes through longer exposure and movement of the camera. These reminded me of flames, so the picture was rotated by 90 degrees.

You are probably right. Photographed mostly great tits that day but when i look more closely now it looks more like a marsh tit. Thanks!

Willow tit in the light.
We sat in the hide all day and took photos. At this time of year, the sun rises at around 9am and sets again at 3:30pm and always remains fairly flat above the horizon. Great conditions for photography.

and take-off.
The picture took many attempts, I was often too slow at the shutter release, the tit didn't have a nice wing position or jumped from the branch with its wings folded.
