Alright, I'm enjoying Banjo-Kazooie so far... but WHY do I need to recollect a level's musical notes every time I reset or lose a life?! So much frustration would be mitigated if the game would just let me keep the notes like with the Jiggies. Damn you, '90s game design! 😫

PSA: Google has now begun to roll-out the Ad Topics "feature" onto Android itself. It's not just in Chrome you have to disable the settings. Please #Boost to spread awareness.

If you didn't get the pop-up screen on your Android device (it looks like the first two screenshots), to opt-out of these settings:

Go to your device Settings
Press "Google"
Press "Ads"
- While you're here, press the "Delete Advertising ID" button and delete it
Press "Ad Privacy"
Review: "Ad Topics", "App-suggested ads", and "App Measurement". Make sure all are labelled as "OFF". (This page will look like the third screenshot)

If you don't see "Ad Privacy" in Step 4 then it means that it hasn't been rolled out to you yet. You might need to wait and check back in a couple of days to see if/when it has been implemented to disable these settings.

EDIT: There's another setting to review. In step 2, scroll to "Personalize using shared data". Turn everything off.

New ads privacy features now available

Android now offers new privacy features that give you more choice over the ads you see.

Android notes topics of interest based on apps you've used recently. Also, apps you use can determine what you like. Later, apps can ask for this information to show you personalized ads. You can choose which topics and apps are used to show you ads.

To measure the performance of an ad, limited types of data are shared between apps.

@CM30 Here's a little trick to help get around this: If you save a coin in your inventory and get to the next item set, a single item box will ALWAYS* give you a different and actually defensive item. Of course, you'll still have to pray that you won't get bodied at the start of the race, but afterwards, if you remain in 1st, you'll always have at least one line of defense using this strategy.

*The only time you WILL get double coins in your inventory is if the online connection is spotty.

I'm hyped that TTYD is getting a remake. As a result, I'm tempted to try the OG Paper Mario as I've never played it before.

The problem? I've refused to pay for the NSO expansion pack since day one. I could NEVER justify paying $30 extra for simply retro games. However, TTYD is giving me much more of an incentive. Plus, I don't want to track down an original copy or use an emulator.

What do y'all think? Do I take the plunge?

@PinkOwls I have an attachment to the original F-Zero for being a type of challenge mode for the player back when I bought it for my Wii U. However, I've always felt, "God, how cool would this game be if it had multiplayer?" I love that F-Zero 99 not only fulfills this dream but goes above and beyond into transforming it into a battle royale game. F-Zero works PERFECTLY in this regard; the game is too much fun. :blobfoxcrylaugh:

Just as an add-on, I AM interested in playing other games within the expansion pack such as Banjo-Kazooie and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga; I wouldn't play Paper Mario and just be done with it. There just hasn't been much... I guess urgency(?) to consider paying for the expansion pack until now.
