My attitude towards #seniors using AI in this way is the same as my attitude towards disabled folks using it. If we as a society fail to meet the needs of our most vulnerable people, we don't get to throw a collective tantrum over those people using whatever resources are available to them, including #AI.

@pee My only major gripe with #Lumo is that it doesn't let you choose which model to use when you ask a question. If they changed that, I could definitely see myself with a premium sub.

AI in its current incarnation is dangerous, unethical, and should be heavily regulated.

AI, even in its current incarnation, is a boon for disabled people, and we should support their use of it.

I had someone tell me that Antifa were terrorists last night, in a European hackerspace. Because demonstrations can be violent.

Dunno who needs to hear this, but I grew up through the Troubles. I know what *real* terrorism is. It's not violent protests, by any means, even if they are unpleasant and you don't like them.

The inflation of that word to mean anything you don't like has to stop. Just hope and pray that you don't end up in a place that has real terrorism. You really don't want that.
