@bobmagicii Interesting. Not sure why it's not there, but if you wanna have it, you can enable it in System Settings -> Keyboard Shortcuts -> Services
@bobmagicii When you're done imagining that, click on Services -> Set Desktop Picture

This is a new Obsidian plugin that allows you to keep track of your reading, produce nice-lookin' graphs, stats, etc.
The plugin doesn't import data from sites, as far as I can tell. Would be great to do that.
I've not tested the plugin, but it's nice to see. I love https://bookwyrm.social to keep track of books I want to read, create lists, and other things, but that's all online.
@pivic @bookstodon Thanks for sharing! Yes, you're right, there's no integration with external services yet, but it's definitely on my list. Right now, I'm focused on fixing bugs, improving the user experience, and adding more filters and stats.
Do you use Obsidian? Do you enjoy reading and statistics? You might want to check out my plugin, now available in Obsidian's community plugins. It's still in early development, and there are more things to come, but I'd love to hear your feedback and suggestions!
Is it possible to unregister or redefine a web component? The CustomElementRegistry doesn't support it, but does anyone know a workaround?
@wyri Well, I guess it's taking overcommitting a little too seriously

This is my Curmudgeon Era.
Not in the nostalgic, “things were better in my day" way.
More in the "I refuse to be gaslit by modernity" way. I refuse to pretend that constant connectivity has made us happier. I refuse to buy into the idea that infinite scrolling is anything but digital debt—time spent, nothing gained.

@heiglandreas Yeah, I mean it's definitely more commits to check but I find it less challenging.
@heiglandreas Applying one rule at a time makes reviewing easier 😉
@derickr Not that far off from ontbijtkoek, is it?
The German Federal Foreign Office's USA travel advisory now has warnings for trans folks that they might be denied entry.
Pregnant people might not get life-saving healthcare.
No worries, let's continue planning "global" "community" events there.
After all, cis-het white men are still welcome.

I won't keep pretending I believe in tech as a force for good.
That ship has sailed, that horse has bolted, and that gutless CEO has already embraced fascism.
Instead, I'll call it like I see it, and I see a world in forced decay.
If I sound like a luddite, that's a mantle I'm happy to take on. I see no shame in it.
We'd all be better off if we learned to question tech as a gift and see it for its grift.

How fucked are we as a species that it was just too much work to read our emails so we had to sacrifice democracy to build an AI to write bad summaries of them
