Anyone else here use #AffinityDesigner? I want to trace shapes from a scanned image. Is there a tool to do that? I mean, drag a marquee over the placed image and a vector shape is created sort of thing.
It seems odd I can’t find one. Such things existed way back in FreeHand and Illustrator n the last millennium.

Finally, I am able to share the #ecology #posters I have been working on the last few weeks in my spare time. I had also made versions with black text on bright background. These are now ready to go to the printers, whatever version SEC are going for!

5/6 ecology poster boards (1000 x 600 mm) DONE! (Plus another 6 with black text on bright BG, but that's a quick change!) Can't wait to post them once approved by Singleton Environment Centre and them to he sent off to the printers! 😁
I absolutely love the precision with which I can work on #affinitydesigner2 - totally in love with their measuring tool ensuring I am getting suitable proportions and sizes of images and text. 🤩
#happyfriday my Tootles! Busy today with working on 1000 x 600 mm poster boards for Singleton Environment Centre. It's a pro-bono job of 6 boards for birds, bees, reptiles, wildflowers, bats, and what not.... Idunno the sixth one off the top of my head. I am doing this in #affinitydesigner2 because I don't know Publisher all too well. Learning curve too steep for this deadline.
Oh yeah, I have to do 2 versions each for visual #accessibility sake black text on light BG/white text on dark BG.
Very impressed by the Serif Affinity suite. Recently updated to v2, Designer 2 is brilliant vector graphics software, Publisher 2 is exactly what I've been looking for for ages.
Best of all Serif have extremely reasonable pricing and licensing options - massive kudos to them for not going down the subscription route.
Definitely worth checking out, especially as they're currently 40% off
