Katie, Ellen, Matt, Julianne, their mom Karen, and Emmett Franz, with three verses from John Newton's 1772 Christian hymn, and joined by a crowd-sourced choir for a final verse from Harriet Beecher Stowe's "Uncle Tom's Cabin".

John Newton was in slave-trading until about 1755, by the way.

Fini #AmazingGrace ! Edit : les deux fins (comme je m'y attendais, une des deux est un peu plus "logique" que l'autre). Il ne me reste que la partie After...je sens que c'est 100% Moe + H...je ne suis guère motivé😆

Et sinon pour en revenir au titre en lui même, c'est globalement une très bonne surprise (à part le CharaDesign assez banal). C'est VRAIMENT ce que j'attendais et que je n'ai pas trop eu avec "Hello, goodbye".

Aucune tromperie sur la marchandise. On nous avait promis du moe ET du mystère. Et on a ce qui est était annoncé car la partie Mystère est bien là et propose quelques très, très bonnes idées et une atmosphère cool et originale (catholicisme + nombreuses questions sur l'Art).

J'ai passé un excellent moment donc. Malgré la partie moe...Car si les héroïnes (et même les secondaires) sont toutes charmantes à leurs façons, le problème est que, parfois, j'ai eu envie de CTRL (d'ailleurs j'ai fini par le faire sur certaines H-scènes de Kotoha). Sans oublier quelques passages trop longs juste avant l'embranchement entre les deux fins possibles 😅

De même, un dernier (léger) regret : il faudrait arrêter de prendre les lecteurs pour des idiots. Aucun besoin d'expliquer cent fois la même chose (je regrette "YU-NO' qui refusait de prendre les gens par la main) 😏

8/10 cela dit.

Forgive Me, But Then No Need Dept : There are lots of classic inspirational pieces one could end a show with. I've never heard anyone compare #AmazingGrace with #WatermelonInEasterHay by #FrankZappa. The one is lyrical ,the other instrumental. One emanates from the divine , the other from familiarity with expression that is considerably profane in other contexts.Yet here we are- two very different pieces of music that, in the end , manage to conjure the divine. Go figure
