Unsere Schule möchte, dass die SuS mit digitalen Karteikarten lernen.
#Quizlet ist im Gespräch, geht aber m.M. nach gar nicht (Datenschutz).
Mein Favorit wäre #Anki. Problem ist, dass die iOS-App 25 € kostet und ca. 1/2 der SuS iPhones haben. Die könnten #AnkiWeb nutzen.
Neben dem Datenschutz (Server wohl teils in USA) habe ich Bedenken, wenn hunderte von SuS den kostenlosen Server "belagern".
Gibt es Schulen, die Anki bzw. AnkiWeb nutzen? Wie haben die es gelöst?

Today's activity I think (I hope) will be how to properly set up Anki both on my computer and phone. The settings and UIs are, to put it politely, overwhelmingly disorganized chaos.
I don't know enough about spaced repetition learning for "optimal deck settings" to set it up correctly anyway so I need to watch a few videos >:(

Can any of my fellow hams recommend a good #Anki deck for refreshing my [UK] Foundational knowledge, please?

I'm trying to see if #Anki and #AnkiWeb can work as a help, rival, or replacement for #DuoLingo . There's something about the "Good Job!" animations that makes me think of #AlfieKohn and how rewards are bad for learning. Thinking of privacy issues and advertising revenue also disturb the learning. I get distracted with thought of #EdwardTufte in #BeautifulEvidence talking about how "The #EthicalValues of #Teachers differ from those involved in #marketing ." p 161
I'm a true believer in the effectiveness of #spacedrepetition for learning. Learning doesn't have to take so much time. Research has shown one of the most effective ways to learn is with spaced repetition. I have been using #ankiweb and #anki both of which I highly recommend.
