A large jumping spider with yellow hairs covering the legs and body. It has two dark 'eyebrows' sticking up from the side of the head. The front of the head has two large black eyes. Here, they are looking directly at the camera.

The spider has turned to the left, revealing its body, which is white with black stripes and also covered in yellow hairs.

The spider has turned and is facing the camera again, which is now at a higher angle.

And now for #SalticidSunday I present a couple of Tan Jumping Spiders (Platycryptus undatus) photographed on a wood railing in SE South Dakota. I believe the one on the left (or top) with the orange band is a male and the other is a female.

A macro image of a spider looking up and to the right. It has four forward facing eyes and hairs that look like eyelashes. It has a broad rusty orange band that covers the bottom half of its face.

The same species of spider also looking up and to the right.This one lacks the orange band but has larger palps.
