(not rhetorical) why don't #redhat and #suse just merge their software ecosystems together all the way until the last step of enterprise-only cloud software, or wherever it is they are trying to finally monetize and where differentiation may actually be necessary? Couldn't they avoid a lot of duplicated effort and not negatively effect their business strategies or legalities? More generally, why don't we have an #automotivelinux style effort for desktop #linux or a re-imagining of #LSB for all use-cases?
