The ballet is itself an apogee of the art but a reflection on British society, selfish and desperate that is driving many to become outcasts without safety net and completely ignored by the political mainstream that is shaping society.

by Virtual Alien and Old Nick (X1 and his alter ego X2).
Authored by Nick Person with deep insight from Janet Priest and James Waterhouse.

A story in 15 chapters depicting the making of a ballet-drama in 3 tableaux, 10 acts and 10 rules.

"Two outcasts from society discover that they have been played by an unscrupulous world and the only way to survive it is to rise above it all and dance the evil away even kill "it". One of the outcasts is threatening the other with a gun. They are having a violent interaction amongst the dancers. The dancers are the angels. They come to the rescue of the threatened outcast, by performing the “devil dance" conjuring the evil spirits. They surround the evil and the threatened outcast managed to remove the gun from his enemy and kill him. He has killed and he is evil too. The murdered outcast is lying on the floor and the dancers in turn bow down, in a sign of respect.

The dancers toast to the dead wishing it a resurrection to a new being, pure and good. "

The ballet itself is a taken-on Britain's society in the 21st century and the desperation endured by some members of society too often ignored. It may depict an unflattering view of the Royal family but it also underlines the deep divide between different classes in British society.

🩰Anoche cumplí con el regalo de Navidad que me faltaba: el ballet de la Compañía Internacional en el Teatro Olympia.
Yo soy muy de musicales y me escapo a Madrid en cuanto puedo, pero el ballet… era la primera vez que lo veía, y lo de ayer fue… otra liga.

El escenario se les quedaba tan pequeño que parecía un vagón de metro en hora punta.
Entre lo amontonados que estaban y los saltos en puntillas, daba la sensación de que cualquier tropiezo podía acabar en tragedia, aunque no se dieran patadas entre ellos.
Y qué respeto me dan las bailarinas… aunque a veces me daban ganas de bajar y darles un buen plato de puchero.
¡Qué delgadez, por favor!

Si no llega a ser por el cartel, no sé si estaba viendo "La Bella Durmiente" o una versión libre de "Bridgerton", porque al cuento le dieron una patada fina.
Estaba yo en un palco lateral, medio girada y sentada en unos taburetes rarísimos que me tienen hoy molida.

Cuando te aburres, la mente vuela.
Aparece la bruja Maléfica, interpretada por un hombre con vestido negro y golpeando una vara… y yo solo veía al “tío de la vara” disfrazado de la Vieja del Visillo.
Me reía sola por dentro.

Lo mejor fue el final.
Cuando ya pensaba que aquello acababa, sale el príncipe OTRA VEZ a danzar.
No creía que lo iba a decir en voz alta, pero se me escapó un: “Otra vez no”.
Se oyeron risas y algún improperio mental hacia mi familia.
Mención especial a las mallas del príncipe… de un impúdico que no necesitaba imaginación ninguna.
Ni coquilla, ni protección, ni nada.
Allí estaba el repertorio completo.

En fin, una experiencia más.
En escenarios grandes como los de Madrid, todo es magia y te absorbe como un personaje más; aquí, en un espacio reducido, todo queda un poco ridículo.
Eso sí, el desfile de ropas del público no tiene precio: desde gente que parecía ir a los Grammy hasta otros que venían directos del sofá de su casa.
¡Habría que poner un protocolo medio, ya!

I've always wanted to go to le Prix de Lausanne.

For those who don't know, it's where all the greatest up-and-coming ballet dancers show their stuff at a ridiculously high level. It's in the resort town of Lausanne in western Switzerland, surrounded by scenery made of awe.

I've not been to la Suisse since before Brexit. I wonder if I'll ever get to go again.
