Good Morning Folks! This is one of my normal Monday morning topics where I discuss a bunch of stuff that I did over the weekend, finishing up some 3D printing projects, playing some #GuildWars, leveling in #PathofExile, gearing out Jaren in #DestinyRising, and starting a new book.

Good Morning, Folks! This past extended holiday weekend, I dove into the world of 3D Printing as I set up my #BambuP1S printer and attempted a whole series of projects. I talk about how the weekend went and show off some of the results.

Just managed to Print a Large Sized Model made out of ASA Filament on my without even a tiny bit of Warping!

All it took was 3½ Days of Preheating the Chamber and 3 Blood Sacrafices!

A New Record! Amazing!

Keeping my 3D printer running hard for the past few weeks, glad I finally caved in and let Santa pick me one up this year.

A 3D printer is prominently displayed, with spools of filament visible on top. A small articulated figure sits on the printer, surrounded by various tools and accessories. The printer's build plate is illuminated, showing a printed object in progress.

You wouldn’t download a mouse, would you? Printed the plastic bits of this mouse with my #BambuP1S — the guts came packed in with the printer, along with a link to the STLs. The colors will match my desk and keyboard at work. #Bambu

The image features a white and orange wireless computer mouse, placed on a brown cardboard box. Various crafting materials and assembled miniature figures are visible in the background, along with a blue storage container and a few other items on the table.

Color 3D printers are literal game changers. These markers came off the printer like this — no painting. #Bambu #BambuP1S

The image features various gaming tokens on a checkered tablecloth. Six orange flame tokens labeled "Burning" and one blue token, along with a green frog token and a green skull token labeled "Poison." A plastic storage box and other items

So, I’m impressed. The P1S printed this 9hr controller box with supports in ABS without a hitch, first try. This thing rocks — if you’re on the fence about one grab it while it’s on sale! #bambup1s #3dprinting #BambuLab

I finally bit the bullet on a Bambu P1S. My initial impressions are: this thing is a MASSIVE leap forward from my old printer, a Wanhao Duplicator i3+. I am in awe at how fast it spat out these benchies. I’ve thrown a big 9hr ABS print at it, with supports — trial by fire right out of the gate!

Alright, I think I’m finally on board to get a #bambup1s printer. I’ve run into one too many prints that I am unable to do on my current setup. #3dprinting

One feature I would LOVE for inkycal to implement is for events to spill over to the next line.

Currently I have to keep the font size pretty small in order to fit the full team names on one line (and this is even after I shortened the names manually). I’d love to be able to increased the font size so it only shows only a few days of events, and then it would be readable from across the room.

I’m still making improvements to my epaper sports calendar!

I created a minimalistic-style stand for the bare display that shows the entire screen, printed on my #BambuP1S.

If it works well I might submit it to the #inkycal project, these displays are a weird size that defies cheap frames.

Currently printing out the next iteration as I type this. The part on the left side will go all the way to the top of the screen, so it hopefully looks a little more seamless.

A bare epaper glass display with a list of upcoming sports games on it. It’s held at a 20% angle to the vertical with a grey plastic printed part that holds the display on the bottom and left sidesThe same set up but from the rear. You can see the shiny back of the glass display, plus the electronic hardware. There’s a ribbon coming out of the display and a Pi Zero with an epaper HAT on it on the back. This is the plastic printed part without the epaper screen or the electronic hardware. It shows an indent where the screen’s ribbon cable is kept, as well as a supporting piece to hold the raspberry pi

I recently upgraded from my perpetually broken #ender3 to a #bambup1s and wowwwwww.

I feel like I was driving a go kart that I had built myself and now I bought myself a Porsche. The price increase was similar 😂

Suddenly printing is fun again! It just works. Nothing goes wrong. All the features I want are there and work perfectly. All the models I wanted to print but never did because I knew they wouldn’t come out right on my old printer I can finally print! And it’s FAST.
