Sarajevo has been on my must-see list for over a decade, so when Wizz Air started a direct route from Luton, I took my opportunity and booked a flight over here.

I'm greatly looking forward to spending the week exploring the history and culture of the city. And, of course, taking a large batch of photos to share with you.

We have seen the same in #Sarajevo as well, where visiting #Bascarsija felt like going to a cheap bazaar with sweets from #Turkey and knock-off bags from #China. #bosniaandherzegovina is not part of the #europeanunion, so other foreigners are buying up all the real estate and molding the country so that it fitā€™s the capitalist need for mass tourism. There is no room for authentic culture, because the local politicians only want to be bribed and there are enough of foreigners eager to do this.
