Composite screencap shows "inactive jump lists" for taskbar apps that aren't currently open, with recent accesses and standard menu options. Kinda useful!

Heh! When I go to check a gradual rollout change to the Start menu in Build 22635.3500, I realize there's no direct way into that menu with Start11v2 installed. When you choose the Windows Pro style in Start11v2 it doesn't show the built-in Windows Start menu. Thankfully, there's a trick for that. Lemme tell you all about it...

dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup can't do its thing after upgrading a PC from production Windows 11 to Beta Channel. There's a fix, though -- and I provide the info needed to enact it.

New System Components heading under Settings > System includes Game Bar, Get Help, Microsoft Store, Phone Link, Tips and Windows Security apps/facilities. These are now built-in, protected parts of the app-verse in Windows 11.
