A fresh composition of my Amiga A4000. You can clearly see that I'm not using this computer in fact the last time it has been fired up, is in the last century.
The oxidation on the outside of the FDD, clearly indicates electrolytic capacitors inside which should not be electrified.
I will need to recap this whole motherboard before I even attempt to turn it on. I'm not planning to do so though
I have an A4000T which just needs another RTG card. The Picasso 96 that I ordered for the last time broke down after 5 years.
If I really want to I can even repair the Picasso 96. The video IC is just a Cyrus logic IIRC
For me AGA is way too slow to work on such a massive machine
Which is the reason for both the A4000T which is in storage and the A4000 to be idle

Schon witzig dass die Leute mittlerweile so die Schnauze voll haben von alle dem was #hollywood und vor allem #disney meint denen vorsetzen zu müssen das es eine #despecialized #version von #starwars gibt in der alle die unnötigen nach träglich hinzugebastelten #cgi effekte wieder entfernt wurden ;-)
Ich mag diese Version mehr als alle die es aktuell bei den #streaming Plattformen gibt, da ist die Version die mich als 14 jährigen damals auf #betamax #video verzaubert hat.

Sony presentó el formato Betamax en 1975 como un sistema de vídeo analógico para grabar programas de televisión con calidad superior, siendo una alternativa al casete compacto de audio y al formato VHS de JVC124. Betamax permitía grabar mientras se veía otro canal y ofrecía mejor calidad de imagen y sonido, con unas 250 líneas de resolución horizontal, y un tamaño de cinta más pequeño que el VHS12. Sin embargo, el VHS ofrecía mayor tiempo de grabación, lo que resultó decisivo para el consumidor promedio y llevó a que Betamax perdiera la batalla comercial frente al VHS125.
Sony mantuvo la producción de cintas Betamax hasta 2016, a pesar de que el formato dejó de ser popular en los hogares desde la década de los 80 y fue desplazado por formatos digitales56. En total, se vendieron alrededor de 18 millones de equipos Betamax desde su lanzamiento, con un pico de ventas en 19845. Aunque Betamax fue técnicamente superior, su limitada adopción por parte de otros fabricantes y su menor capacidad de grabación contribuyeron a su declive frente al VHS5.
En resumen, Sony presentó Betamax en 1975 como un formato innovador de vídeo doméstico que destacó por su calidad, pero que fue superado comercialmente por el VHS debido a su menor duración de grabación y menor apoyo industrial125.
