Last week I returned from #minnesota - and I felt the stark contrast between peaceful scenery, friendly encounters on one side and news & memories of the most shocking violence on the other.

Among other things I realised that I was staying quite close to the place where #GeorgeFloyd was killed by police, five years ago, triggering protests against police violence and the movement #Black_lives_matter.

Today, the whole area has been turned into a memorial - and I met George Floyd's aunt Angela.
