The State - like with the J20 case - is attempting to put anarchism on trial - and is planning to use the diary of assassinated forest defender Tortuguita as "evidence" in the upcoming RICO trial of dozens of Cop City protesters.
"Jeff Filipovits, one of the attorneys representing Paez Terán’s family, saw the state’s move regarding the diary as “political … It’s obviously an attempt to make the diary public … [and] further demonize the defendants and Manuel.”.
Filipovits has been pushing for 10 months to get evidence on the activist’s death released; he also saw the state’s motion as linked to the continuing justification for not doing so. “They tie Manuel to all the Rico defendants, so they can continue to withhold evidence from the shooting,” he said."

"A beautiful night of spiritual connection turned into an opening towards material solidarity in an unprecedented turn of events because of the courage and innovation of a few people locked inside the jail and a few people attending the vigil, supported by the entire crowd. From starting the vigil on the opposite corner, to crossing the street to confront the cops harassing the projectionist, to the whole crowd reassembling directly in front of the jail and supporting a few heroes in helping get food and water inside, the arc of the vigil was a spiral of collectively inspired escalation, and progressive expansion of what the crowd believed it’s power to be, and what it was able to do. "Police are attempting to fabricate narratives to frame themselves as victims. We don't buy it! Spades to plant trees are not weapons in an "antifa operation" lmfao! APD can't claim that putting on gas masks was an "aggressive action," THEY TEAR GASSED PROTESTORS! Journalists have very clear documentation of police casually tossing grenades in their direction.

Today, upwards of 500 demonstrators marched on the construction site of Cop City in #Atlanta, as part of a week long #BlockCopCity mobilization. Police attacked the crowd with tear gas, as people attempted to hold the line. There were originally reports of several activists making it onto the site and locking down, but these appear to be rumors.
