Textbooks have been my primary source for studying and learning this past year. They were a shining beacon of clarity in a world where it is becoming so hard to find reliable info. AI is untrustworthy. Search engines serve SEO garbage, and increasingly AI LLM generated articles dominate top results.

I shudder to think what the future will be like for people trying learn when LLM content starts creeping into textbook content. It's probably already happening. Coupled with the fact that libraries are under constant pressure from funding cuts, it's looking pretty bleak.

We have the seed vault in Svalbard. I think we need the same sort of thing, but for books and knowledge. Anna's Archive is probably the closest thing we have to this today.

I see BookVault has expanded to Australia. I liked their set up when I was researching which POD company to go with it, but being only US or UK based was an issue, I’ll look into them again now they’ve added Australia

@servus @freebliss I already have and own ebook-shop via Pretix. https://www.zotzmann-koch.com/buecher/buch-shop/ I would love to extend it with print books, but we only have lulu.com as a print on demand provider with an API and they are in the US (not so cool in regards of gdpr). So currently I'm only held back by the lack of European print on demand providers willing to make it possible for authors to have an own print book shop. #BookVault has unfortunately not (yet?) planned to come to Europe.

Anyone here know about #Bookvault #Woocommerce integration? My problem seems to be following instructions to the letter, which we know is always a mistake when it comes to technology.
