@janispagel introduces #CLS to the audience at #NAACL2025 #SIGHUM. The paper "Evaluating LLM-Prompting for Sequence Labeling Tasks in Computational Literary Studies" evaluates #SentimentAnalysis and #EventDetection tasks with #LLMs. https://aclanthology.org/2025.latechclfl-1.0/

Interestingly, the study found that incentivized reviews aren't more positive than non-incentivized ones. However, they are more elaborate—that is, longer. The discussion touched on both the analysis pipeline and the study’s methodological assumptions. Research like Anne’s highlights a dynamic and important area in the book market—certainly a promising field for future CLS research. (3/3)
