Amber Shepherd from #SussexUniversity described her work on detecting dark matter with #lasers. It was indeed as excellent as that sounds.
I also learned you can cool things down (a lot) with lasers.
Brain appropriately tested by #cafesci tonight on plant intelligence. Not sure I knew that anaesthetics work on plants.
