Happy #SofaSunday. It's been an "exciting" 24 hours. We've lost power twice, once yesterday afternoon, once this morning. Yesterday it lasted for 3+ hours. Before sunrise it was only for about an hour. What's extra exciting is the 10F weather outside, not counting wind chill. And, obviously, not ever knowing when it will come back on. Luckily, we have a pellet stove with an 8-10 hour back-up battery. We've already decided that a second battery is going to be purchased quickly.

Not that I really care. I have little interest in seeing either and will much rather find stuff far more interesting to me. Some Sci-fi movie or show or something. 🤔

Another frigid day. 5F (-15C), going up to 15F (-9C) for the high this afternoon. Another day to hunker down and stay warm. I'm glad I don't need to go anywhere.
Another day of writing, reading, chores. I don't plan to watch the football game, but I do hope Seattle wins. (Because of the politics of the owners of the two teams: one is a MAGA supporter, the other a liberal.)
I'll probably watch the halftime show on YouTube after the game is over just to see Bad Bunny, a performer I had never heard of before the Trumpers got so upset over him being hired for this. I'm old and out of touch; I don't know who the popular performers are these days.

A new day. A new chance to succeed.
Routines have always been my haven. A skeleton to hold up the day's actions. The right amount of detail without being too fiddly. Only rigid enough to work most of the time.
I don't require perfection. Good enough is, well, good enough.
A quiet day planned. Perhaps it will turn out to be. For the moment, there's nothing that requires my action or attention beyond the normal start of day routine.

Had to go to the bank - they closed their branch close to our home and this led to a change in the account number. Could have done it by phone if I had the app working - but I never managed to install it. Not much of a problem but since I got debanked in the EU I got weary when it comes to banks in general.
Now I'm sitting here with my tea and try to relax. Stupid how such a small thing costs me so much nerves ...

Thank you to the kind man who helped carry my very full and heavy granny cart up the stairs at the SkyTrain station next to Costco. My cart is one that climbs stairs but it’s quite heavy.
Very inconvenient to not have an elevator or an up escalator at that entrance to the station.
