Kleinod im Gießener Land

Kein klassischer Prunkbau - genau das macht den Reiz aus. Das Schloss Großen-Buseck mit seinem weitläufigen Park überrascht mit mittelalterlichen Spuren, neugotischem Charme und einer besonderen Atmosphäre. Besonders ins Auge fällt ein imposanter Mammutbaum - ein echter Blickfang.

Gestern habe ich einen schönen Spaziergang durch den Schlosspark in Großen Buseck gemacht. Der Schlosspark befindet sich in der Gemeinde Buseck im mittelhessischen Landkreis Gießen. Ich kannte den Park selbst noch nicht, Es hat sich sehr gelohnt.

I took #Vanity to #CastlePark at the beginning of January for their last dinner with Santa event. After purchasing park tickets for 3, souvenir cups for 3, dinner tickets for 3, and let's not forget parking, we were told at the customer service booth they "aren't doing that anymore." What the ???

Today's early morning #bikeride took me to Kalkum #Castle, a moated castle in #Düsseldorf. Originating from one of the oldest knight's residences in the region, the ancestral seat of the knightly lords of Kalkum, the property passed to the lords of Winkelhausen around the middle of the 15th century, who were to determine the fate of the complex for the following 300 years. Altered in the 17th century to a castle in the Baroque style, the complex received its present external appearance essentially through a classicist reconstruction in the years 1808 to 1814 according to designs by the #Krefeld master builder Georg Peter Leydel. The castle is surrounded by an approximately 19-hectare #castlepark.
