I don't like being wrong so I did some reading and found that Dave Chappelle is a TERF. That's abhorrent. I did not know this and apologize for promoting a shitty person. It's interesting that The Dave Chappelle Index exists. If Mr. Chappelle is being attacked, he probably said some truth that is hard for people to deal with. I'm sure he's not a saint and has said tasteless things, but it seems lately when he's in the news, it is because he stood against established media. #chappelle #foodforthought

Pop culture thought for the day: I know Dave #Chappelle wouldn't want me sharing this, but he doesn't know me, so whatever. Anyhoo, his show had an effect on a lot of people, most of which got old really quickly (e.g., "I'm Rick James, bitch!"). This is one that had the biggest effect on me. To this day, every time I see a commercial for a drug and they start going through the side effects, I recite out loud the side effects from this product.

i've traveled a fair bit, including the ME. I worked in Saudi Arabia, bc that was my chance to travel there

it's the most grossly & ridiculously oppressive place i've been. when asked to come back i said no bc i didn't want to contribute to the Saudi's being more profitable, much as these comedians make them more palatable
