unnecessary 3d effects, flamboyant colors, shadows and wild typography?

Oh my beloved Walter-Lieth diagrams from my geography lessons at school, I am getting nostalgic...
only downside: the climate data is sometimes a bit outdated... but otherwise just a doozie!
