I really want to understand a good majority of the #WWE #storyline, but you'd be surprised how hard it is to find a #video that goes in depth in to this that is also long-form. Like, if I can find long form videos on the different eras of #wrestling to better understand the #historical #context, that's something I will literally spend hours on just for the #history alone. Any #recommendations would be very much appreciated.

We finish our discussion of the silent film Metropolis and answer our question of art and politics by examining the text, context, and reader meaning-making.

It’s this time of the year when everyone asks for donations.
Here’s how you make an EPC QR code for SEPA transfers in #ConTeXt #LMTX:

\startluacode
local sum = 50.0
local subject = "Donation"
local qrtext=string.format([[BCD
002
1
SCT
RABONL2U
ConTeXt Group
NL04RABO0163223726
EUR%.02f
CHAR
%s
]], sum, subject)
figures.qrcode(qrtext,"blue",tex.sp("5cm"))
\stopluacode

According to
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EPC_QR_c
it works with banks in Austria, Belgium, Finland, Germany, and The Netherlands.

QR code, result of the quoted code. If you scan it in a banking app, you can make a donation to ConTeXt group.

There’s a new update for #ConTeXt #LMTX, it fixes a few bugs – nothing known about new features.

Correctness offers the illusion of stability, but often blocks our capacity to see what’s truly moving.
Ben's artice this week explored how we re-orient inside complexity — how we recognise flow when surface conditions feel chaotic or still.

Vanessa Machado de Oliveira Andreotti names the shift: from correctness to complexity, context, and compassion.
That’s where real clarity begins.

Google Has Your Data. Gemini Barely Uses It. shloked.com/writing/gemini… #AI #context #memory #Gemini

Text Shot: If context is the new battleground, Google starts with a structural advantage no one else has: your mail, docs, calendar, photos, maps, browser, even your phone. ChatGPT and Claude are still begging for slivers of that graph through connectors; Google already sits on the whole thing.

And to their credit, the pipes are technically there. With a single toggle in settings, you can let Gemini see Gmail, Drive, Docs, and the rest without messy OAuth flows or permission mazes. Once connected, it can already do useful things: summarize your inbox, draft calendar invites, pull in details from a document.

The Google Workspace connector hides in settings

The problem is that Gemini doesn't really lean on any of this. ChatGPT's Pulse keeps nudging you to connect your calendar. Claude repeatedly insists you "bring your docs in here and chat with them." Gemini, by contrast, hides the workspace connector in settings and then tiptoes around it. The ability to fuse your life into the…

I'm often asked: "How do I start with on my project?"

The key is preparation: provide good (instructions, agents, prompts).

In this video, I show you how to create:
- Instructions from your codebase.
- A powerful prompt using Plan Mode.
for the infamous Petclinic project

When placed in a historical , new buildings are often given a particularly modern look to distinguish and separate them from the surroundings. Sometimes this works, but most of the time it just looks silly to me, like in this picture taken in , Switzerland. Notice that the blue modern building and the historic house next to it are the same size, but the blue panels remove any sense of scale and proportion.

Picture of two building facades next to each other. On the right, a humble historic house, with plastered walls and window frames. It looks weathered and somewhat run down. Next to it, on the left of the picture, there is a new building, compeltely covered in blue glass panels. The blue panels give it a modern look, but also remove any sense of scale.

#TIL:
index entries must be anchored, i.e. they can’t be their own paragraph (single line, after a \par etc.).

Otherwise you might get “[entry not flushed]” entries in your index.

And if unanchored index entries are the last thing in a section and interaction & bookmarks are enabled, you get a “{0}” in the bookmark of the following section for each index entry. Not really intuitive, related to “prerolling” of bookmarks. (Might get fixed with the next update.)
