#Pseudofumaria lutea syn #Corydalis lutea, Yellow Corydalis. Another garden escapee that's a weed around here, but I let it self seed cause I love it.

Yellow Corydalis (Pseudofumaria lutea) growing on a Black Locust tree (Robinia pseudoacacia) in London. I’ve seen the corydalis growing in cracks on walls many times before, but never as an epiphyte on a tree before #WildFlowerHour #Robinia #Corydalis
#Pseudofumaria lutea syn. #Corydalis lutea.

Alt: an environmental colour photo of the delicate cluster of yellow and orange tube flowers against a backdrop of the blue-green foliage.
🎉Good news for the next #family reunion!🌼
Chen et al. provide an updated classification for the hyper-diverse genus #Corydalis based on #phylogenomic and #morphological evidence.

Today I had a closer look at the #corydalis.
Here you can see little holes in the spures. These are made by #bumblebees, who try to find an easy way to the nectare which is at the back of the flower - inside the spur.

Hurray! It's finally getting warmer and more flowers in the woods are starting to bloom.
Today I saw this #corydalis.
In a couple of days or weeks a big part of the wood should be covered with them 🙂
