An image showing a large row of cottages, set in the English countryside. The picture is sepia toned with some colorization added to bring out details like foliage and buildings. This photograph comes from an album documenting British Isles' sites between ca 1890-1900 by Loener's Photochrom Company. It shows the National Cottage Hospital for Consumption & Diseases of Chest which was built in Ventnor, Isle of Wight during that period. The hospital is a rowhouse style building with many chimneys on top and various windows visible to patients' rooms. It closed down around 1960s but now serves as the home of Botanic Garden called "Ventnor Cottage Hospital."
