I go to Photo Life in Brooklyn to develop and scan film; it's the cheapest place I know for developing and scanning but they mark up the film. This photograph comes from an album documenting British Isles' sites between ca 1890-1900 by Loener's Photochrom Company. It shows the National Cottage Hospital for Consumption & Diseases of Chest which was built in Ventnor, Isle of Wight during that period. The hospital is a rowhouse style building with many chimneys on top and various windows visible to patients' rooms. It closed down around 1960s but now serves as the home of Botanic Garden called "Ventnor Cottage Hospital."

Lots of fabulous fungi at the Dundee Botanic Gardens today too.
There were so many coral fungi! Lots of patches and lots in each patch.
And I was hoping to see birds nest Fungi after not seeing any for some years.

Three Collared earth stars - a kind of puffball. The puff ball in the centre is surrounded by a circle/rim and the outer surface has split open to form a star shape with the puff in the centre.

Coral fungus- a reef of them! Lots and lots of pale yellow/orange narrow antler-like fungal stems.

Very much enjoyed my visit the the Glasgow Botanic gardens today.
The insectivorous plant area was a delight (as always) and there was loads more to see and enjoy.
The size of some of the golfish in the pond in the kibble palace! They’d take your hand off…
And the textures and shapes everywhere were so appealing.
I’d left it far too long between visits.
