Sligachan is a tiny settlement on Skye, at the head of Loch Sligachan. For some, it’s just a road junction with a few accommodation options often used as a base for climbing the nearby Cuillin mountains. Legend has it that the waters under Sligachan Old Bridge are enchanted and are a gateway to the faerie world. Should you be brave enough to dip your face in the water of the Sligachan River for a full 7 seconds, supposedly you will be granted eternal beauty by the faeries!

Sligachan est un lieu dit sur l’île de Skye, à la tête du Loch Sligachan. Ha... Just as we're heading home from our holiday on #Skye this weekend, the forecast is a bit wintery. I love getting shots of some of the #landscape with a dusting of #snow, especially the #Cuillin #mountain range - so dramatic when you get the very dark rock against the "icing sugar" white stuff. Thankfully I'm near enough that I can pop back for a days #photography
