I love it! It ticks all the right boxes. Even the cover of Judas Priest's mighty Painkiller is great.

With this album, not only my #DeathlyDeath #Metaljourney has come to an end, but sadly, also the band's journey ended due to the tragic passing of #ChuckSchuldiner. RIP

I listened to this record once 3 years ago, and I remember that I quite liked it.

I'd initially rate this one 4,5 out of 5.
The production is great, the drums are great and somehow Chuck's vocals sound even better on this one.

The production is phenomal! The drumming is 🔥 (I learned that it is provided by Mr. Gene Hoglan).

I just found out that Steve Di Giorgo played the bass on Individual Thought Patterns. There are some parts where the bassline is more dominant compared to their previous releases. Overall this one is a solid album, but not as good as its predecessors.

I love where they are going with this one. A tiny bit slower, but more technical and complex. That's exactely what I love!
4/5 after one spin (which is actually great).
Is it possible to have a sweet spot for title tracks? Because I think I have 😂
Spiritual Healing on #SpiritualHealing is fantastic!
Did they take the foot of the pedal a bit? Spiritual Healing is a tad slower compared to its predecessors (while still beeing fast). A bit like South of Heaven after Reign in Blood.
Also, it seems like they added a bit of complexity to their recipe.

The opener Living Monstrosity is already very promising!
I didn't want to spam the local feed as much with this #DeathlyDeath #Metaljourney, but #LeftToDie is such a banger, I had to tell you.
After all that World Cup drama (f*** you FIFA), it is time to get back to one of the GOATs in metal: #Death
Next up on my #DeathlyDeath #Metaljourney is an absolute cornerstone in #DeathMetal. The year is 1988 and the Album is called #Leprosy

While the title track closes #ScreamBloodyGore, it is time for a verdict.
I guess this is an unpopular opinion, but there is a lot of same same on this one. I'd only rate this 2,5 out of 5 if I am being honest.
Tracks that stood out were Baptized By Blood, Evil Dead and the tilte track.
To me, it sounds like that #Death was heavily influenced by Slayer, esp. Reign in Blood, which was released a year earlier. Not a bad thing though!

I know that #Death are beloved icons. I guess the debut is also considered as an all time classic. And I appreciate that it was groundbreaking back in the 80s, but...
...so far I find it a bit boring. 🤷 Yep, I said it.
Yes it is raw, yes, it's straight in your face metal. But it lacks variation. Halfway through the album it feels same same.
