Sometimes I find it ironic that people used to be more social before social media. Now we can reach anyone in a second, yet most feel lonelier than ever.

Constant notifications replaced genuine connection. So many chasing likes, so few real conversations (or friends).

And with an endless stream of AI bots pretending to be human, the internet itself feels like a "slowly cooling universe". I personally find it spooky.

The African Court of Human and Peoples' Rights (ACtHPR) offers a really neat dashboard on their website that shows the number of cases received and closed, who submitted them (individuals, NGOs, Commission, States) and a wealth of other information.

I wish all international Courts were as transparent.

Now, the ACtHPR operates in a complicated political environment and faces many challenges, but it is good to get regular updates on how they are doing institutionally.

Examining works by #Faulkner, #Morrison and #Hitchcock among others, Tom Cohen traces a ‘hyper-blackness’ that exceeds racial binaries and links to the viscous materiality of #oil.
