I miss Dragonmirth.
There is a #ShortStory about a poor young(?) unprivileged elf(?) #wizard that is desperate to research a spell involving #TimeTravel. It's a pretty enjoyable read even though the twist at the end would probably be considered cliched by today's standards.
I read it in #DragonMagazine or one of the other #DnD magazines of the 80s or 90s. Does this vague description ring a bell for anyone? Could you tell me the name/author? I'd like to track it down and read it again.
Visiting my hometown to deal with my late parents' estate. The bookstore I used to buy #DnD (and #StarFrontiers) stuff at is a shawarma restaurant now. Among other things, I bought my first copy of #DragonMagazine here!
I only wished I even heard about #DnD back then. By the time I even saw #DragonMagazine in the local #Library, #SatanicPanic had mostly died down (at least in the public).

PS, That #DanielHorne #DragonMagazine cover painting is my absolute favorite piece of fantasy art. I'd loved it since I was a kid.
My biweekly lunchtime game of Ironsworn with my colleagues resumes next week and I can't wait.
Some years back I divested myself of my _Dragon Magazine_ collection via Facebook, and I just found the one tranche I couldn't send to the interested party due to international shipping cost.
This is Dragon 56-60, 62-68 and they have truly been beaten to hell; only 7 have covers intact. I just want to get them to a good home, and I don't want to deal with EBay for this.
