The Green party platform does something dramatically different and worth considering.
Community AND labor CONTROL of ALL private or public enterprise must be democratically decided by all workers in each business AND the communities in which they serve NOT by a board of directors.
Brilliant.
There can be both public & private enterprise but it is ALL run democratically by the people who work there and shop there instead of the person who had the capital to start that business.
Because the people who invest their careers in a business will generally act in the best interest of that business.
Because people who live next to that business will want it to be run ecologically sustainable.
I want to give this a try!
