Reading up on EU Digital Infrastrucure Consortium #EDIC. Really great to see a block working on Open solutions to digital sovereignty. Really impressed, actually, at Germany on their #openDesk solution. (Complementing the years of Work put in by Munich with their IT woes). I know TUDelft are going with openCloud (or nextCloud).
Interestingly openDesk seems cool as one of its apps (#Element ) list CyberEssentals and other ISO standards for compliance. ( not it sure if this extends to rest of openDesk)
More so openDesks pricing models are interesting: community (you do it); enterprise (we host); and sovereign (we help you host).
I do wish work would consider going sovereign (at least enterprise). Perhaps this would be cheaper than Office365 and with better tooling…

Frankreich, Deutschland, Italien und die Niederlande sind Gründungsmitglieder der neuen Organisation.

La 🇫🇷 avec son initiative #SuiteNumérique, 🇩🇪 avec son initiative #OpenDesk, 🇮🇹 et 🇳🇱 ont certes décidé de s'unir en juillet 2025 (vaut mieux tard que jamais) au sein de #EDIC (European Digital Infrastructure Consortium basé à Paris), mais le land allemand du Schleswig-Holstein (entre Hamburg et le Danemark) n'a pas de temps à perdre et abandonne déjà la plupart des logiciels propriétaires. Principale victime: Microsoft. Bénéficiaires: #Linux #Nextcloud #LibreOffice #OpenXchange #Thunderbird
