@johanlinaker also joined a panel on government collaboration, including both suppliers and the public sector, discussing the importance of #collaborating across the #public and #private sectors. Sustainable business models and the presence of suppliers are critical for the #sustainability of the open-source projects. @amandinelepape #EOSA member, and others highlight how tenders need to require and dedicate #funding for maintenance of the #solutions, not just pay for new features.
💡 Had a great discussions with @malvikasharan Sharan from The Alan Turing Institute about #collaborating on skills development! She leads The Turing Way initiative, which collects and develops #knowledge and training materials to help #researchers and #practitioners work in an open source way. Looking forward to exploring ways in how we can collaborate through #EOSA. 🤝
