Out and about on the mountain with the camera - one of our favourite pastimes. In addition to sports photography, we love the magnificent backdrops of endless landscapes that we find in the mountains. Big views and small details.

Here we were out and about on the Arpelistock on the border between Bern and Valais, escaping the summer heat from the Rhône valley.

Sometimes it looks more complicated than it is.

On this hike I had to take a deep breath before we tackled this scree slope. The path alternated between coarse boulders & fine scree. But after a few meters of climbing I felt much more confident & on the descent - as so often - it was as if I had never done anything else. 😄

Sometimes it helps to put your thoughts aside & just do it.

For years I have been amazed by the ingenuity of every little detail in #Exped’s tents. Both my #Venus II and the #Vela I (which sheltered me for over 120 nights on my trip to China) have so far not let me down, although I pushed them to limits at -12°C at 4,000m altitude. (4/7)
