If the government here didn't insist on the mandatory nature of #faceshields back then that the people here hated it (because at best it only provides like 1% more protection with face mask and #socialdistancing) I probably would still wearing one right now. But I'd most likely get some funny looks around me nowadays.

I was at the supermarket. After about 5 minutes walking around I was... *gasp!* I don't have my #faceshield! I left it in the car!! 😳 (Normally the security guard at the door would point it out and ask people to wear face shields.)

I looked around and noticed a good number of people also did not have #faceshields on.

Then I remembered. The authorities did* talk about relaxing restrictions. Our #covid19 numbers have been going down. Plus, some cities have reached #vaccination goals. 😃👍

Lately I've been going out weekly, unlike before when I only went out once every 2-3 weeks. Should be okay. I exercise the same old precautions. Many people already vaccinated and our city doing pretty okay with #covid19 numbers. #vaccines #WashYourHands #sanitize #WearYourMask #FaceShields #PhysicalDistancing

Oops. That Rt value was from 2 weeks ago but looking at the graphs the actual trend now* is ⬆️.

Possible reasons for the ⬆️ trend: people getting too relaxed, getting careless; new variants (no proof here, just 1 more possible thing that may contribute to new cases).

Haven't been paying attention to the #news the past few months. Must keep myself updated. ☝️

Apparently, to some people, the reason for and the meaning of those footprint stickers are lost.

Although the government gave permission for more biz activities and removed some restrictions, we are encouraged to #StayHome. Of course.

And people got smart and now see the wisdom in donning a #faceshield. 👍 Last I heard in the #news, the #malls are requiring #faceshields AND #QuarantinePass IN ADDITION to wearing a #mask. I'll see how true that is today. Fortunately somebody gave me a free face shield even before it started becoming fashionable. 😊🙏
