I watched "Passengers - Aurora" a fanedit of "Passengers" that aims to fix a big Issue of the film. The edit can be found in Archive . org
In this version the film makes Aurora, the woman, the main character instead of Jim. Shifting the point of view from the victimary to the victim.
It doesn't succedd 100% but is an interesting exercise.
I personally would have killed Jim in the edit. Plenty of opportunities

I finally did it! I FINALLY MADE MY Hikari no go vid!
At the beginning of the year my computer crashed, and I could not vid, but I found and almost lost the perfect song for my vid!
It was stressful!
But I used that desire to reinstall my operating system, and one day later, I finally finished it! I even typed in captions by hand!

getting hands on a #fanedit is such a tedious process. Were I a better developer, I'd make a command line video editor, and a GUI app for it. The app could generate a script that takes in the video files, makes the edits on its own, and spits out the result.
That way you could just host the scripts on a website and not host anything that would get you in trouble, like the video file.
