Anyone put their site behind Cloudflare? It seems like a simple process with just A records. Is the performance and security worth it? I'm looking at the free plan for their CDN/Reverse Proxy/DDoS services.

Wieso taucht dieses 3 Jahre alte PeerTube Video bei mir in der Timeline auf? Sowas hatte ich neulich schon mal und @ivory meinte es wäre bestimmt weil ich einem hashtag folgen würde, welches wohl auf der original Plattform wäre, Mastodon aber nicht anzeigen würde?! Jetzt habe ich mir den Beitrag im Web angeschaut und dort sind keine Hashtags verwendet worden. Wie man sieht wurde es auch nicht von jemanden dem ich folge geboosted!Also warum?!

Hello #swarmintelligence of the #Fediverse, how do you solve the problem when you want to install new software on an already known domain?
So in my case from #Lemmy to xxx (I'm not sure yet what it will be, maybe #Friendica). Because if the instance keys no longer match, communication will be rejected.
Mastodon introduced the self-destruct command for this, but Lemmy doesn't have anything like that.

@meljoann oooo, I really like that you can create lists and host them wherever you want too. I've been using GoToSocial for months and I had no idea this feature was a thing :3

I know it's been very slow and not inclusive enough, but seeing fedi slowly adopt new moderation features has been nice. I'm thankful for the marginalized people who have demanded these features for years. Without them, none of this stuff would exist. Good on GoToSocial for prioritizing this in beta too :blue_heart_sparkles:

It will also be interesting to see if it can work with FASP, so that mastodon admins can also setup a service to relay them.

It was always bound to happen, but it appears that Bluesky’s CEO is currently pulling an elon and targeting users who call her out or who label others as transphobes.

Attached is an example of the latter.

Könnt ihr ein hochgeladenes und transcodiertes #Video aktualisieren, sprich Infos ändern/ergänzen?

Ich habe seit längerem eine Peertube-Instanz als #Docker laufen (derzeit Peertube 7.3.0), und das ändern von solchen Videodaten (z.B. Tippfehler in Titel/Beschreibung) ging noch nie (getestet als Uploader/Besitzer des Videos sowie als Admin). Alles andere funktioniert 1a. 🤷

How is the work organized? What safeguards are in place for the folks doing the work? I know that I don't know every dogwhistle out there, how do folks handle reports where they don't quite understand?

Aber was bedeutet es, wenn dort null steht? Ist das Konto dann sichtbar oder nicht?
