🌎 Latin America is advancing toward interoperable #DigitalID, ensuring that citizens can access services across borders with the same trust as physical IDs. Uruguay, a #50in5 and #DPGA member, is leading efforts to build interoperable hashtag digital identity systems across the region.

I just found #DPGA s new website on "Calls for Collaborative Action". They want to to galvanise support for global "digital public goods" in four key areas: Open-Source First Policies, Principles and Frameworks; Open Data for Public Interest AI; DPG4DPI Financing; and DPGs for Climate Action. I've been reading up on the #DPGA Digital Public Good Alliance from the UN. It all sounds good but I was hoping for a section on how they were going to "fund a wing" of the internet archive and offer some servers to store the code and data releases.
They talk a lot about support for registry and icons but we need servers and GB too.

Not clear yet what the concrete benefits are, but it’s worth noting #OpenStreetMap has been registered as a “Digital Public Good” by the Digital Public Goods Alliance (#DPGA), which is a multi-stakeholder United Nations-endorsed initiative.
