My solar panels are aligned for afternoon sun.
However. I'm still able to charge my EV car from solar, albeit slowly (currently at 7.56kW)
Proof, if needed, that solar panels don't need full sun to work.

The car didn't charge during yesterday's Octopus free electricity session, nor did it charge overnight.
So I've missed out on the free session and the overnight cheap rate because I need to put some juice in the thing before we go to our daughter's later

I think the blame might lay at the door of an update to the app from Ford.
I've followed the suggestions on the Book of Faces and will try again tonight.

So far today has been a qualified success STORY.
The car dash cam fitter turned up on the stroke of 8am and was finished in about 45 minutes. The bill was more than expected (due to the quote excluding VAT).
We've discovered bits of the new car that we hadn't looked at before.
Found the tyre pump and the sealant (which won't get used).
Found out why the front 'fog lamps' are called 'poor condition lamps'.
Worked out how to fold the back seats down.
The garden pond Level sensing device arrived and is fitted & connected to the app. The freezer temperature probes arrived and are also linked to the app.
Hmmm
The central screen on our new #FordCapriEV froze on the journey here.
It seems there's an easy fix according to Internet searches (hopefully correct).
There was no music or satnav - so I got lost, and had to talk to my wife (the two were not connected)

Sacha has left me in charge of the cat and the cooker while she is out getting her nails done (something I don't really understand, but it pleases her).
I am determined not to confuse the cat with the cooker when it comes to turning the vegetables on at the determined time.
In the meantime, I'm sitting on the patio in the last of the afternoon sun listening to Bossa Nova and admiring my earlier gardening efforts.
We've had a message to say that Sacha's new car (#motability) should be ready for collection soon after the 10th June - so the excitement will be ramping up.
That poor EV charger need feel unloved no longer.

A bit of a late start for me - but I've been busy adulting.
The solicitor I need to talk to about our daughter has finally, finally responded (with a half hearted apology). Now all we need to do is pay them and set up the appointment.
What other type of shady business requires payment up-front to talk about a job they might or might not be able to do?
I've got the kitchen floor washed and the cat litter tray clean. The bins are emptied. Several small spiders are now homeless.
Talking of Kit the new #cat - she is going out into the garden for brief explorations, but not staying out much.
We've got a trip out this afternoon - we'll stop off at a new (to us) cafe for a light lunch at Ulverscroft Grange #Leicestershire - it has good reveiws from some of my Tai Chi pals. Afterwards - we're talking about changing Sacha's #motability car. We're hopinng to go full #EV with a #FordCapri
We've got a Tesco delivery due at around 6pm - and..... that's it for #Today.
