🚨 BREAKING: Today we are bringing our message to the courts! Six Scientist Rebellion activists pasted papers about the #ClimateEmergency, #BiodiversityCrisis and quotes of judges from trials of non-violent climate activists to the courthouse.
Fake blood was poured onto ground – The failure of the judiciary to recognise the emergency we are in has real life consequences! As the secretary-general of the United Nations António Guterres said, failure to address climate change is criminal!

More and more activists are facing judges and are trialed for their "crimes" – fighting for a liveable planet for all of us. For many judges we are nothing but a nuisance, case closed. Dare to take a stance, #FaceTheFacts! Here are some quotes from previous trials👇
Quote of judge #1: "With a small minority is not acceptable to impose your position on others." – Apparently it is, but you have to be an executive of a fossil fuel company, then you'll have it your way and get billions on top! #HowMuchMore?
Quote of judge #2: "Your behaviour is coercive towards the government." – You've got that the wrong way around. The G7 governments have pledged already back in 2009 to stop subsidising fossil fuels, but they don't do it. They are forcing the #FossilMadness on everybody!
Quote of judge #3: "It is clear that you have to take a different path. I can't say which one." – Scientists get out of their labs and onto the streets, the #ClimateEmergency calls for everybody to leave their comfort zone, before the #HumanClimateNiche is gone!
Quote of judge #4: "Saving lives is honorable. But in your case it is punishable." – Ruining a liveable planet for millions is abhorrent. But too often legal, and in case of fossil fuels the destruction is even subsidised by our government. #HowMuchMore?
Quote of judge #5: "It would make sense if you found a quiet little room and thought about whether you're on the wrong track." – Our labs are quiet little rooms, we thought about this for decades. We need to accept the reality of the #ClimateEmergency and act accordingly!

Six Scientists have pasted posters on the @bmdv building with declarations by past governments to phase out fossil fuel subsidies, a promise constantly and neglectfully postponed. #HowMuchMore broken promises will we witness? All of them have been arrested by the police. Fighting against climate failure is criminalised, whilst continued profiteering of the #FossilMadness is subsidised. 🤯
Additionally, 100 Scientists 🥼 marched and protested 📣 against #ClimateFailure. Again and again the government failed at delivering results and excelled at delaying the phase out of fossil fuel subsidies.
The coalition contract states: "We want to gain additional budgetary leeway by reducing superfluous, ineffective and environmentally and climate-damaging subsidies and expenditure in the budget." – BUT:
Aviation is shamefully subsidised by tax-free kerosene and VAT-free international flights with 12.4 billion euros a year. 🤯
Highly inefficient and resource-intensive individual transportation 🚗🚗🚗 without fuel-saving speed limitation is promoted over transitioning to a climate-neutral public transportation system 🚎.
Emission reductions in the transportation sector are promised, but targets are missed and the pathways towards the stated goals are clearly inadequate! #UniteAgainstClimateFailure @AufstandLastGen @xrgermany
Since 2009 at the G20 meeting, German governments have repetitively pledged to phase out fossil and environmentally damaging subsidies. Germany still spends 65 billion euros in environmentally harmful subsidies each year!
