En #proxmox agregáis el protocolo #mqtt, las cámaras y el add-on de #frigate, el disparador será cuando frigate detecte movimiento

Hunde und Katzen zu unterscheiden fällt der LLM ganz schön schwer. Besonders wenn Kater #cooper durchs Bild marschiert. Der ist halt echt schwarz und das kann openvino schwer kompensieren. Man sieht, dass es da auch unsicherheiten gibt. Manchmal nur knapp über 50%. Personen hingegen werden zu knapp 100% erkannt.

Just had an intruder on my #frigate instance. Rewrites the config with a payload to download xmrig from github, build it, and start mining #monero ... Mucks with the nginx config while doing so. Annoying as shit. Can't see how they're getting in to be able to edit the config.

I tried #Frigate today & OMG it is so much easier to configure than #Shinobi. I even connected it to #HomeAssistant! So I removed Shinobi from my server & will move forward with frigate as my #NVR.

Now I just need to return the #Amcrest cam that misleadingly advertises #ONVIF support but really only means partially, in its own app. #Reolink #P1Zoom will probably be my next trial since I confirmed it is ONVIF profile T verified.

Just finished getting a #Reolink NVR hooked up. It is to replace the record side of #Frigate while keeping its great detection capability. #HomeAssistant integrated wonderfully with the NVR.

A potential, albeit minor, side benefit of the NVR is saving internal network traffic with the video cameras connected directly to the NVR.

I've become a little obsessed with reducing my #homelab power consumption lately.

So I moved my #frigate NVR from my main server to an Optiplex. Previously object detection was running on an Nvidia RTX card but now the Intel iGPU can do it, probably just as badly.

The home server dropped about 90w while the optiplex went up only 2-3 watts on average though so those efficiency gains are well worth it since that change saves about £225/year on it's own. 🫨
