Looks like I'm officially too old for Yo-chi. Guy behind the counter asked if I'd ever been to Yo-Chi as if it doesn't work like every frozen yoghurt bar in the history of ever.

I mean he's not wrong - just realised I've been eating fro yo since the 80s!

Dang, I just remembered that my favorite #FroYo shop closed down!

It had been there for at least six years. I went with one of my relatives and picked up FroYo for the whole family like the day after my mom passed.

So many comforting memories of enjoying Menchie's FroYo after watching #TheGoodPlace.

I'll have to make the 17 minute drive to the next nearest one sometime.

I've been to some #FroYo places where the #FrozenYogurt actually tasted like yogurt, but it's rare.

Most of the time, it just tastes like really nice sherbet/sorbet, and I guess I'm down with that. ;)

Just finding out about it now, and I hope they never touch the series or try to add on to it or remake it, ever.

The fish eggs pop in your mouth with a lovely burst of mango flavor, and the chewing gum has no flavor, and isn't exceptionally chewy, but adds just the right amount of texture to otherwise completely homogeneous #froyo.

After watching #TheGoodPlace, I just had to go get some #froyo.

Its funny how a subversive symbol of human mediocrity in the series became something comforting and familiar.

Basic frozen yogurt recipe: 1 pint Greek-style yogurt, 3/4 cup sugar, 1/4 tsp. salt, optionally 1/4 tsp. lemon juice, 6 to 10 ounces of not-sweet liquid, containing 1-1/2 to 2 ounces of alcohol. (Keeps it from freezing solid.) Whisk together and freeze in ice cream freezer.

The flavor possibilities are endless. Here are some I've tried, and they're all delicious:

White wine.

Hard cider + 1-1/2 ounce shot of apple brandy.

Rose water + 2 ounces of Everclear infused with rose petals. (Skip the lemon juice.)

Dry hard ginger beer + 1-1/2 ounces of gin infused with sliced fresh ginger.

6 ounces of rhubarb juice (made by whooshing up 13 oz. of chopped rhubarb stems in the food processor with 1/4 cup water, then squeezing the puree through cheeseloth) + 3 ounces raspberry eau de vie.

6 ounces cold espresso + 3 ounces nocino (liqueur made from green walnuts). (Skip the lemon juice.)

I recently got an ice cream freezer attachment for my Kitchen Aid mixer; basically a replacement for the bowl that has an outer layer that freezes in the freezer, and a churner that connects to the motor head. I've been experimenting with frozen desserts, and this one is just over-the-top ridiculously good. It's also super simple; about five minutes prep time.

I’m a little obsessed with #Goodberrys, a local #frozenYogurt company.

It’s mainly because they offer malt as one of their zillion toppings and they mix the toppings in. If you like malt milkshakes, you’d LOVE this #froyo.
