In Portugal most companies and even many city councils only use Meta/Facebook to advertise their stuff.
99.9% of the time I can't see a thing. Especially since FB also actively blocks VPN connections. Then you know for sure they want to know everything from you.

For those who follow me here but not on my labyrinth account, this week has been a hell of a ride so far, and it's only thursday!

First my car went kerploppy, and then I un-kerploppied it, which cost a ton of money. I'm also on the heels of having turned 40, which I have very mixed feelings about. And then Meta deleted my entire Instagram account that I used in the mid-2010s to document my music milestones and transition timeline when I still had hormones, and then they banned my regular public facing account

and it's Thursday!

Never been happier that Facebook banned me.

Switched my default search engine from #DDG to #Mojeek, increaed the security/privacy settings of #uBlockOrigin to "medium" mode, and used my etc/hosts file to completely block all #Meta and #X domains.

I also set my calendar to autostart when I log in so I stop forgetting things.

Oh, and I've switched from #Firefox to #LibreWolf, but that was a week or so ago.
