One thing I've learned about me is: I certainly don't allow ANY abuse in my life. If any thing, person, system, situation and/ or group wants to become abusive, I'm immediately finding a way to rid myself of it/them. ...on that note: it's been exactly one year since I've left Instagram for Mastodon, Cara & formed a sporadic monthly newsletter. I have no regrets since deleting my account. Proof my mental health is thriving.

Als ich mit dem Studium angefangen habe, hatte ich mir vorgenommen, die Fachschaft und den Fachschaftsrat von Instagram, WhatsApp und co. wegzukriegen und alternative Kommunikationsmöglichkeiten einzurichten.

Ich habe am Anfang mit Widerstand oder Unwissenheit gerechnet, aber nein, das wird sogar von vielen Leuten begrüßt, unabhängig davon, wie technologieaffin sie sind. 😳

Neuer Lesestoff nach Empfehlung von @marcuwekling . Hab gestern Abend mit "Krieg der Medien" angefangen und bin fast durch. Da wird einem ganz schlecht und ich hab noch weniger Lust auf Meta und den ganzen Kram. Und tatsächlich wandte sich nach meinen letzten DID-Posts bei Insta jemand an mich und meinte, sie wäre es auch Leid, diese Plattformen zu unterstützen, die rechte Inhalte hoch spülen. ... Die Bücher von @martinandree sollten Pflichtlektüre (an Schulen) werden.

Pains me that I just opened two new tabs with intent:

1 - To find local, indie makers of arts and crafts.

2 - To find out the latest updates from my family.

And both of the only places I can think of to get those two things are Instagram (1) and Facebook (2).

And then if I want to message my friends, it'll be WhatsApp (3). I'm trapped in the Metaverse. That's where everyone is. People aren't moving.

Effectivement, s'ils ou elles avaient programmer leur migration vers le #Fediverse en prenant soin d'inciter le plus grand nombre autour d'eux à les suivre, le problème serait en grande partie résolu.
Il n'est pas trop tard pour enclencher le mouvement.
