TrafFix Devices is proud to bring another hostile vehicle mitigation system to North America - the VIGIBLAX. With thick galvanized steel, low slope ramp, and easy installation the VIGIBLAX system is a great solution to a rising issue of vehicle-related attacks and the critical need for robust security measures in public spaces.

The VIGIBLAX can stop a 7.5 ton vehicle at 30mph.

A massively parallel, high-level programming language

In what I can only describe as a bad case of "proof of concept making it to production", my #homelab #kubernetes cluster cannot run replicated #openebs because lack of hugepages support.....

Because I rolled forward with PV VMs. And then built everything on top of that, without realizing that the workers are PV.

I'm assuming swapping to #HVM is going to be painful, so I'm contemplating wiping everything and starting over.

The Higher-order Virtual Marchine ( #HVM ) project is pretty interesting. The #Kind programming & proof language built on it is already outpacing #Haskell and #Lean

#AMD Continues Work On Enhancing #GPU Support With #Xen #Virtualization
AMD posted patches as part of their start for adding #VirtIO GPU and passthrough GPU support for Xen. AMD has been working on this both for #HVM on #DomU and #PVH on Dom0 modes. Other patches from AMD for enhancing graphics support when making use of Xen, but again without a clear motivation why especially considering the dominance of KVM and less industry interest around Xen in more recent years.

Let's go way back for this #WerewolfWednesday, to October 1990.

This was my first made-for-a-haunt werewolf, Snnanagfashtalli (Snarl to everybody), chasing patrons around in the queue line back in Forney.

Over the next couple of seasons he got more and more "gory-ed up" with fake resin-based blood - he was a messy eater - until he was finally retired in favor of Lugaru, my first NFT werewolf. I'll have to find & post some blood-covered photos (with CWs, natch).

Large grey werewolf (Snarl, worn by Ysengrin) interacting (chasing) two guests in a queue line for a haunted house (haunt facade is partially visible in background). The two guests are holding each other as they run, and are trying to shield themselves behind a third guest. Other patrons watch in the background.

Are there #Xen experts here? When creating a Linux #HVM domU that boots from an ISO I can only add two other disks (e.g. xvda and xvdb) besides the virtual CD ROM. Adding more disks to the running VM (xl device-add) works. Of course I could write a script that adds the other disks during bootloader countdown, but I feel better with a proper solution.

The real question is: what do I use for Advent of Code 2022?

@billstclair I do have a work in progress in elm-in-elm to compile down to #hvm, and folks will likely take a look at bolting HVM output to the Haskell #elmlang unofficially. Really exciting!
