Latest nerd accomplishment - got Open Media Vault installed on this diy NAS with overkill hardware, AMD FX6350, 12GB RAM, and super quiet. Now comes the hard part, getting it configured so it does something useful. All I want it to do is backups of orders in progress, and as a local music streaming server, so shouldn't be that difficult (hoping that writing this doesn't jinx it, lol).

Is there a detailed monitoring software - or addon - to guage #GPU usage in #RealTime?
I'm in the process of finding new #graphics #software to use on a #LinuxDesktop to augment or replace what I've been using on Windows, and it would be very helpful to see and diagnose if and where the GPU is having problems, and whether it's due to the hardware itself, the #driver, or #Wayland .
The box is running #Alma 9.7, wirh #AMD #Radeon #r7. 3D RT is awful.

My first attempt at properly editing something on #kdenlive I've edited simple stuff shot on my phone but this is raw LOG footage from my cinema camera and applying LUTs I've created from power grades developed in Davinci Resolve. Hoping to share something soon! I was thinking about sharing the LUTs if anyone is interested.

I have a `AMD Ryzen 9 5900X` and I've been trying to understand performance and variability of a particular benchmark.
It reports to be one NUMA node, yet if I pin my tasks to just the cpus for one of the L3 caches I improve performance by 3.2% and reduce variability by 60%.
Looking at `dmesg` I see "No NUMA configuration found". And under `/sys/firmware/acpi/tables/` there is no SRAT or SLIT. Hence defaults as one NUMA node.
Do I need to do something in BIOS?

I had a not so fun moment trying BIOS firmware F9.
I experienced system crash:
- at BIOS screen
- at boot loader screen and rendering issue
- at Linux kernel stage (blue screen of death)
- at FS level (BTRFS remounted read-only due to corruptions)
- at KDE level (crash when getting in auto loggout state)
- in Firefox (crash when heavy allocation occurs and rendering issues)
Rolling back to firmware F8 resolve problems.
