Cooper's Hawk, 300mm zoom (450mm 35mm eq.) from 120 ft I've shared about feeding birds in previous posts. Usually, looking out shortly after I throw down the food, the place is swarmed with birds. . . . except, as mentioned HERE, there are times I look out, and there's not a bird in sight, the food just laying there, untouched. This was the case a few days ago, and I knew a hawk was about. This time, it was on a tree at the edge of my lot. On a previous occasion, I had grabbed my camera and stepped out the back door, and it had immediately taken off. This time, I went out the front and peered around the corner in front of the house, snapped a few pictures, and checked that I had gotten something useful.
